How accessible is the offer?
The benchmark for assessing accessibility is the European standard EN 301 549 Version 3.2.1 and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance (BITV 2.0).
Not all of the above requirements are currently fully met. The websites are therefore not fully accessible.
The accessibility of the StadtRaumMonitor website is part of the current development process. The identified deficits and shortcomings are currently undergoing a continuous improvement process that is being successively worked through. Some areas are particularly accessible and largely fulfil the requirements.
Which areas are not barrier-free?
The review of compliance with the requirements is based on the test result from 11 November 2024.
The following areas were identified as not fully accessible as part of the review:
- Individual control elements do not have alternative text
- Individual headings are not displayed correctly for screen reader users
- Text contrasts are not sufficient in all cases
- The website is not fully operable without a mouse
- Important buttons and links were not created according to specification and are therefore not recognisable for aids such as screen readers
- Status messages cannot be determined programmatically
The following barriers were identified with regard to the highest possible level of accessibility:
- Not all texts fulfil the extended contrast requirements
- The line spacing within paragraphs is not sufficient
- Clickable controls do not fulfil the minimum size requirement of 44 x 44 pixels

Conciliation procedure
The Federal Government Commissioner for Matters relating to Persons with Disabilities has an arbitration centre in accordance with Section 16 BGG. The Arbitration Centre has the task of resolving conflicts between people with disabilities and federal public bodies.
You can contact the arbitration board if you are not satisfied with the answers you receive from the above-mentioned contact options. The aim is not to find winners or losers. Rather, the aim is to find a solution to a problem together and out of court with the help of the arbitration board.
